Attending the opening of the Armenian-Chinese Friendship School in Yerevan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he hoped the school would serve as a bridge between the centuries-old cultures of the two peoples and allow Armenians to tap into the rich cultural legacy of the Chinese nation.
“What is it that connects our governments and peoples? If we look at a map, our countries are quite far apart, even in the context of the modern world that has grown smaller. It’s a strategic mentality that brings us closer. In the contemporary world, this mentality shows that Armenia and China share many interests, of which many are strategic in nature,” Pashinyan said in his remarks at the school’s opening.
Pashinyan said the new school symbolizes the opening of a new page in relations between the two countries.
