Georgian Foreign Minister Expresses Concern Over Russian Military Bases

The Azerbaijani APA press service reports that Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze has declared that the extension of an agreement allowing for a Russian military base in Armenia, first and foremost, threatens the independence of Armenia. Commenting on the report, Republican Party MP Gagik Minasyan stated that officials of foreign nations do not have the right to express opinions on the domestic politics of Armenia. “I do not believe that such statements can help the fostering of friendship between our two peoples, “noted MP Minasyan, adding that Armenian Foreign Minister Nalbandyan had a telephone conversation with his Georgian counterpart today.
