Donara Hovhannisyan, the woman appointed to replace the principal at Nubarashen Special Needs School, where some of the staff was recently hit with charges of physically abusing pupils, handed in her resignation yesterday. The 70 year-old cited ill health as the reason during a conversation with Hetq.
On May 31, Education Minister Armen Gevorgyan terminated the services of Principal Meruzhan Yengibaryan. Donara Hovhannisyan, then Vice Principal at the school was appointed Acting Principal. She will continue at the job till a replacement is found.
